Leaving Amherst

Attempting a new blog covering our trip south in our Roadtrek. This blog is not approved yet by Candace, (she said that after doing our Alaska trip blog she wasn't up for another one). The Alaska trip can be seen at "photobill7.blogspot.com" but the linkage to the pictures seems to have been lost.

Anyway, we left Amherst on Wednesday and drove to my sisters house in Ossining, NY. We arrived about 6pm and had a nice reunion, meal, and warm bed.

I was going to insert some pictures, (they are more interesting than the blah blah words) but my Mac's battery died and I forgot the power cord back in Amherst. I can't get the pics from that to our IPad so until I figure something out, this blog will be pretty dull.

We spent Thursday night at Greenbelt National Park in DC. GREAT park very near the capital. Clean, quiet, and good showers. Cold night, ran the propane heater for the first time. Friday we continued south and stopped at Meduc State Park in Hollister North Carolina. No reservation needed. There were only two of us at the park and we had our pick of sites. Very clean and looks recently upgraded.

Friday night we camped in Buck Hall national forest in South Carolina. A nice family friendly campsite on the backwaters of the ocean.

On Saturday, we made the short trip over to Ladson, SC and joined the Ladson Roadtrek rally. 97 Roadtreks parked side by side is pretty impressive.

Need pictures!!
